A story of Hollywood icon Evelyn Hugo, who chooses a young journalist named Monique Grant to write her tell-all biography, revealing the truth about her tumultuous life, including her seven marriages, all used to navigate the complexities of fame and conceal her true sexuality, particularly her love for another woman, while navigating the restrictive Hollywood scene of the mid-20th century.
