Join the "March King," John Phillip Sousa (portrayed by Terry Lynch) as he recounts his story of running away to join the circus band at the age of 13, and later becoming the bandmaster of the United States Marine Corps Band. He conducted the President's Own Marine Band under five different presidents and wrote 136 military marches along the way. It's an exciting tale of ambition, perseverance, and passion for music.
Please join nationally-known actor Terry Lynch for his informative and entertaining historical portrayal of the legendary American composer and bandleader, John Phillip Sousa.
**Please note that this program will be on the same night as the city's "Cruisin' Into Lockport" event. Parking in and around the library lot may be more limited than usual. We recommend leaving extra time to find parking.
