Program Description

Event Details

Need to de-stress before the hectic holiday season? Coloring can calm the body and reduce stress among other health benefits. Slow down with Ruth Michalsen of Ruth Hong Art. Ruth will demonstrate her color blocking technique in her coloring practice and provide tips to help you build a self-care practice. Supplies and coloring sheets will be provided.

Ruth is a mixed media artist and educator from Romeoville, Illinois. Her work is inspired by nature, mental health, and self-compassion. In her in-person coloring and healing circles and online community, she helps trauma survivors cultivate self-compassion through coloring and connecting them to others on the same healing journey.

Learn more about Ruth Michalsen by visiting her website at https://www.rhongart.com or engage with her on Instagram at @rhong.art.

This is open to those in need of or wanting to enhance their self-care practice. You do not have to have art skills to participate.
