Event Details
Mindfulness is the art of unplugging from stress and taking time for yourself.
This workshop will focus on ways to unplug and prioritize yourself throughout the upcoming holiday activities. Mindfulness activities can take as little as minutes in your day and in this program you will practice one or two techniques.
You will learn about several types of mindfulness activities and how they fit into your lifestyle. Together we will explore practices that can be done even in large family gatherings or when you are alone. Holidays can be especially stressful times if you have lost a loved one, or if you are making a major life change. We will explore how you can deal with various types of stressors throughout the holidays.
This workshop will be hosted by Carolyn Khan, the executive director of Bridges to a New Day, a non-profit founded in 2003 dedicated to "filling in gaps in the community mental health system with a focus on preventing long term mental health issues."
