Event Details
Krampus is a figure from Central European folklore, known as the dark counterpart to Saint Nicholas. While Saint Nicholas rewards well-behaved children with gifts, Krampus punishes those who are naughty. He is often depicted as a fearsome, horned creature carrying chains, a bundle of birch sticks (called ruten), and sometimes a sack or basket to carry off bad children.
Where did he come from? What are his origins? How has his legendary status in folklore endured for so many years? All these questions and more will be answered as we delve into the iconic and nightmarish history of the one and only: Krampus!
