Program Description

Event Details

Join us for this month's "Artist Spotlight" workshop, a series we are hosting in partnership with the Romeoville Art Society.

Ruth Hong of the Romeoville Art Society will address the process of her artwork and the therapeutic value of creating. Participants are invited to do some gratitude journaling after the presentation. Instruction and supplies will be provided.

Ruth Hong works in mixed media mostly on paper. She loves using prismacolors and recently enjoys exploring sharpies. Creating art is one of the few activities (along with being in nature) that allows her to appreciate the present. A lot of Ruth's current work addresses self-compassion and she hopes to continue the conversation surrounding the healing capabilities of art.

This is open to artists and aspiring artists of all ages!
