Program Description

Event Details

Join us for this month's "Artist Spotlight" workshop, a series that the library is hosting in partnership with Romeoville Art Society.

Coloring can calm the body and reduce stress among other health benefits. Slow down with Ruth Hong and learn how to layer with color pencil as you engage in still life drawing. Instruction and supplies will be provided.

Ruth works in mixed media mostly on paper with her own cut photographs, to depict personal experiences. She loves using Prismacolor pencils and sharpies. A lot of Ruth's current work addresses self-compassion and she hopes to continue the conversation surrounding the healing capabilities of art.

Learn more about Ruth Hong by visiting her website at rhongart.com or engage with her on Instagram at @rhong.art

This is open to artists and aspiring artists of all ages!
