Discover the pivotal moments in history where tragedy sparked change. In this enlightening program, "10 Fires That Shaped History" we delve into the catastrophic fires that have profoundly influenced modern safety standards in homes and public spaces since the 1840s. Each story highlights the lessons learned and the lasting impact on safety regulations. Join us to understand how these historical events have shaped the ways we protect ourselves today and the legacy of safety innovations born from adversity, presented by the Aurora Regional Fire Museum's Brian Failing.

Brian Failing has been the Executive Director of the Aurora Regional Fire Museum since 2016, helping elevate it from a local treasure to a regional attraction. Brian holds a Master of Arts in History from Eastern Illinois University and a Bachelors in History and Urban & Suburban Studies from North Central College.
